Addiction to Bouchon

I've been a little addicted to Bouchon Bakery of late.  Every time I go to Columbus Circle, I have to stop in.  Last week it was their amazing nutter butter cookies and knock off oreo.  The nutter butter cookies, by the way, are quite simply the devil.  So rich, so delish, but I don't even want to know the calorie count.

I digress.  Today I had the opportunity to have a small breakfast with no one but a lovely book (something that doesn't happen often).  I had the chocolate almond croissant.  Divine.  It's not the normal chocolate croissant, oh no.  Chunks of dark chocolate inside the croissant, with almond paste and sliced almonds on top, almost like a baked brioche french toast.  Yum.  This is also the second time in a week that I've indulged on the lemon meringue macaron.  Anyone who truly knows me, knows that I am obsessed with macarons.  I have to get them no matter where I am.  Anyway, I fully intended on sharing that macaron with hubby tonight.  Let's just say that his half isn't quite half.  oops.

  1. Yay you finally updated! Those bouchon things look delish, and I lol'd at the nutter butter being "quite simply the devil" :) But yea, now that you are running 1/2 marathons I guess your bouchon days will be cut down a bit? :P
